About Zachary Typhair

Zachary Typhair is a Kingston-based community advocate committed to building a city that works—for everyone. He previously served as Chair of the Kingston Environmental Advisory Committee, where he supported practical, locally driven solutions to protect natural spaces and plan for a changing climate.

Zachary closely follows City Council and planning decisions, and regularly engages with the issues shaping Kingston’s future—from housing affordability and infrastructure to land use and community well-being. He believes we can build the homes we need without sacrificing the green spaces that make our city livable.

Community

Professionally, Zachary is an insurance agent, helping local families, renters, and small business owners manage risk in uncertain times. That hands-on experience gives him insight into how rising costs, housing pressure, and climate-related risks affect people day to day.

Zachary is committed to thoughtful, balanced advocacy—focused not on partisanship, but on practical solutions that make Kingston stronger, more resilient, and more inclusive for the long term.
